HOW DO I ORDER MY CAP & GOWN?
You will order your cap and gown through Jostens. Please watch your campus’s social media outlets for details on how to order your regalia. Caps and gowns are free of charge, other merchandise (including class rings, diploma frames, and invitations) is available for purchase at your own cost. If you wish to order announcements, class rings or any other regalia, visit www.Jostens.com and search for your school’s name.
WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY CAP & GOWN?
Your order will be available for pick up May 20th, 21st and 22nd in the student break room at Community Care College.
WHAT TIME DO I NEED TO BE AT GRADUATION?
Please arrive at the Reynolds Center Practice Gym at 6:00PM for registration. We will begin lining up for the procession at 6:40PM. If you arrive later than 6:40pm you may not be able to sit with your class or walk across the stage. Guests will not be allowed in the Practice Gym due to space, please have friends and family have a seat inside the venue.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
Wear your Sunday best! Keep in mind that the practice gym tends to get warm, please take that into consideration as you get ready for the event.
IS THERE A RECEPTION FOLLOWING THE CEREMONY?
No. But we will have opportunities for photos with faculty and staff before and after the event.
ARE THERE STUDENT SPEAKERS AT GRADUATION?
Yes. There will be a student speaker from each campus, nominated by their instructors and department head to prepare a short speech for the ceremony.
HOW LONG WILL THE CEREMONY LAST?
Approximately 90 minutes.
CAN I SIT ANYWHERE, OR DO I HAVE TO SIT WITH MY CLASS?
All graduates must sit with their instructors and class in the reserved section for graduates.
CAN WE KEEP OUR CAP & GOWN?
Yes.
DO I GET MY DIPLOMA AT GRADUATION?
Once all graduation requirements have been completed, the registrar will mail your official diploma to the address we have on file for you. A diploma cover will be handed to you as you cross the stage at graduation.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I INVITE TO GRADUATION, DO THEY NEED TICKETS?
There is no limit to the amount of people you can invite to the event. The event is free to attend and no tickets are needed for entry.
DAY OF GRADUATION
ARRIVAL?
Students must arrive at the Reynolds Center at 6pm to register and assemble for the ceremony.
REGISTRATION?
It is very important that graduates register and receive their name card prior to line-up. This will guarantee accurate placement during the processional.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Please do not bring purses, bags, umbrellas, or other items to the registration and lineup area. There are no secure areas to leave these items, so please leave all personal items with a guest in the audience.
CROSSING THE STAGE?
Graduates will stand and be directed by the ushers. As you walk up the ramp to the stage, hand your name card to the announcer and cross the stage. You will exit the stage and proceed back to your seat. Please note that you may not end up in the same seat you started with.
MAY I LEAVE ONCE I CROSS THE STAGE?
We ask that everybody returns to their seat once they cross the stage and receive their diploma cover. We want to be respectful and celebrate all graduates as they cross the stage and not disrupt the event due to people getting up and walking out of the event. We also ask that you please use the restroom before the event starts so that we have as little disruptions as possible. The event moves quickly and we will get everybody in and out in an orderly fashion.
